The Project: Client had a small rear yard adjoining a reserve with views. The rear yard was rarely used it had concrete paths and a clothes line. The side of this home was a shady area with poor drainage.

Client Wanted: To beautify and make much better use of the yard and the view. Save an established frangipani tree siting growing within the area of the proposed deck.

Our Solution: Install drainage down shady side of house and top with river pebble and stepping stones. Construct a hardwood timber deck using Merbau timber, reposition the clothes line onto the deck. Included the frangipani tree as part of the new deck area. Completed the deck finish with a natural stain.

The Result: A new versatile outdoor entertainment area with rocky side path. This deck has added style to the rear of the home allowing the owners far more use of the yard and the views from the deck.

Our first contact with Houston Constructions was with David, to see if they did small renovations, as we were thinking about construction of a rear deck in the backyard, and to our amazement he arrived within hours of that first phone call, unlike other contractors. Quotes were obtained and we decided to use Houston Constructions. From the time they commenced work until completion of the project, we found the professionalism of their operations to be exceptional, from not only their tradesmen but in keeping us up to date about what was happening  and the time frame of when it was going to happen. Plus the supervision of David on site every day to see that everything was being done to both our and his satisfaction. We would have no hesitation in recommending Houston Constructions for projects similar to ours.
